Dorota Kulig
Graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Jagiellonian University in 2012. Passed the national legal counsel trainee examination in the same year. In the years 2013 – 2015 successfully completed the legal counsel apprenticeship in the District Chamber of Legal Counsels in Kraków. In 2016 passed the national legal counsel examination [bar exam].
I graduated from the Frederic Chopin Music Secondary School in Cracow. I have played the violin and the piano since I was 5 years old, so for me the most obvious choice – after graduating from the secondary school – should be a university of music. In fact, it was my initial plan, but… after my final recital I closed my violin case just for a few days to prepare for my secondary school final examinations and it is still closed today, because… I decided to study law. Do not ask me why, because I still do not know 😉 However, it proved to be my best choice ever and I truly enjoy to be a lawyer.
I joined BFP Law Firm in 2012, shortly after my graduation. The Commercial Team of the Firm was already well known at the time. I remember that since the very beginning I met with interesting legal cases, as well as cross border legal issues. My first BFP challenge was compiling the offer and project of the General Contractor Agreement for a huge investment. Than appeared other cases concerning very specific technical issues like geothermal boreholes, technology of the concrete or coordinate measuring machines. Most of them are strictly connected with cross border legal issues due to the fact that contract relationships regarding abovementioned cases are usually between multinational entities. Presently I am providing legal support, including handling civil and commercial proceedings, for numerous business entities, which gives me great satisfaction.
